French actor Vincent Lindon, 62, is to become jury president of this year’s Cannes Film Festival. He is the first Frenchman to hold this position since Isabelle Huppert in 2009, the festival announced on Tuesday. Lindon is one of the regulars at Cannes: in 2015 he won the trophy for best actor for “The Measure of a Man,” and he played the male lead in the 2021 Palme d’Or-winning film “Titane.” The festival on the Côte d’Azur celebrates its 75th birthday this year.
