Starting with Android 10, Google has disabled call recording by default.

On May 11, the company is rolling out new policies for the Google Play Store to prevent third-party apps from using the Accessibility API to record the audio stream of a call. At the same time, the company will begin to remove the corresponding programs from the application store, because this technology is not allowed in all countries.

However, this change will not affect system pre-installed apps that already have permission to access the Accessibility API.

For example, the rules do not apply to Pixel and Xiaomi smartphones. However, these exceptions may be removed in the future. [GSMArena]
