Nakon and KT-Racing today announced the postponement of Test Drive Unlimited: Solar Crownbut fans of racing games can rest assured that French studios are also developing an officially licensed rally game from the FIA World Rally Championship. It will be the last opus before the license goes to Codemasters (and so EA Games), here is not WRC 11but WRC Generations :

This next game is presented as an “ultimate opus”, for “an authentic and complete car rally simulation”. A final lap for KT-Racingwith in particular the presence of the 2022 hybrid engines in WRC Generationsfor new driving sensations with adapted physics and sound design. Fans will find no less than 37 legendary vehicles and set off on a lot of tracks : 22 countries, including the 13 in the championship and 9 additional environments, for 165 stages including the new Swedish route, entirely on snow. For the rest of the content, here is a recap:

  • Career mode allows you to write your story, make your team prosper and manage it down to the smallest detail. A new hybrid management will be available in the skill tree.
  • In the Leagues mode players of the same level can challenge each other in weekly and daily events to hope to climb to the top of the leaderboard.
  • With the Teams system, players have the choice of joining a team or creating their own, and thus carry their banner high in all events.
  • The Livery Editor allows you to customize cars with numerous paints and decals. In WRC Generations, players can now share their creations with each other!
  • It’s possible to practice in unranked races in split-screen or online, and live the real experience in pairs in the Copilot mode.

The release date of WRC Generations is already set for October 13, 2022 on PlayStation 4, PS5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S, the racing game will come later on PC and Nintendo Switch. You can find WRC 10 Deluxe Edition to €53.83 on Gamesplanet.
