Kirin has partnered with Meiji University in Japan to develop chopsticks that enhance the taste of salt. To do this, a weak electrical signal is applied to the sticks. As a result, the taste of salt intensifies, but its amount does not increase. The brain feels the usual taste, and the body suffers less.
The electromagnetic wave also affects glutamate ions. The current used to enhance the taste is too weak and does not affect the human body in any way, so the use of sticks is absolutely safe.
There is no information about the mass production of flavor-enhancing sticks. So far, this is an interesting development, which is not a fact that it will reach store shelves.
