Swedbank writes via its website that they have received signals that fraudsters have started contacting customers to try to take advantage of the situation around the bank’s technical disruptions, which has meant that customers have not been able to see their correct balances.
In the warning, Swedbank urges its customers never to disclose account information, card details or other personal information to anyone. If someone who calls calls you to start your bank ID, do not do so either, but hang up instead.
Swedbank writes in the same vein that the work of correcting the balance information is now complete and that all balances must be updated and correct.
However, there may be direct debit payments that will be adjusted on Monday 2 May, which may mean that customers may perceive their balances as incorrect. If there are direct debit payments that have not been made on Tuesday 3 May, the Swedbank customer needs to contact his recipient. Swedbank writes that they will compensate those who are affected by late fees.
