The head of the VW group, Herberg Diess, stated today that both Porsche and Audi will jump on Formula 1 in some form in 2026.
In 2026, all F1 cars will run on sustainable synthetic fuel and this is why Porsche and Audi aim to develop engines. It is still unclear how the two car companies plan to participate in Formula 1. There have previously been rumors linking Porsche with Red Bull. Audi has been paired with McLaren, Williams as well as Sauber. However, there is information that Audi is considering making its own investment in Formula 1.
