Following the launch of the new UltraSharp 32 4K USB-C conferencing monitor with built-in Sony 4K HDR webcam at CES in January, Dell opened pre-orders. The new monitor offers a number of features that could make it an attractive alternative to the Apple Studio Display.

Along with the main feature of the UltraSharp 32 4K conference monitor, which is an integrated 4K webcam with Sony STARVIS CMOS HDR sensor, the display has a number of other impressive features.

These include 98% DCI-P3 color space, 90W power delivery, and a built-in USB-C hub with USB-A, DisplayPort, HDMI, Ethernet, and audio.

This UltraSharp conference monitor also supports two computers at the same time and is one of the few displays to feature the new IPS Black technology for higher color accuracy and improved contrast.

While the new UltraSharp 32 4K Conference Monitor doesn’t have 5K resolution or the metal body of the Apple Studio Display, you do get a number of upgrades. A 32-inch vs. 27-inch screen, a built-in USB-C hub, and a 4K webcam that should perform better than Apple’s troubled ultra-wide webcam.

In addition, Sony’s 4K webcam is physically adjustable with tilt as well as field of view, offering 65, 78, or 90 degrees. And it comes with a safety shutter that closes automatically when not in use. The webcam also features built-in dual microphones with echo cancellation and dual 14W speakers.

For those who value a crisp webcam and features like a large screen and a built-in USB-C hub, this new Dell UltraSharp conference monitor might be a great fit.
