The internet and TV provider Telenor has launched its own streaming puck with the apt name Mediahubb. It has actually been around for a while but has only been offered to internet customers. Now it can be obtained by anyone who has a TV or streaming subscription with the company.
The media hub is similar to Apple TV in appearance and runs a version of Android including the Play Store to download apps. It comes with a remote control with a few buttons and a steering wheel.
Telenor is also taking the opportunity to release its own remote control for Apple TV for those customers who prefer it as a media player. It works with fourth generation Apple TV and later, and is included for those who buy Apple TV via Telenor but are also sold separately.
