In May there were always sales campaigns for the Xbox Series X. Amazon recently had the console on offer. The next sale is today. This time there is Xbox Series X at Media Markt available for an RRP of 499 euros. If you haven’t had any luck, you should still put the Xbox in your shopping cart, as small contingents are always activated for customers who have the console in their shopping cart.

How to quickly get an Xbox Series X – Is Xbox All Access worth it?

One way to get an Xbox Series X quickly is through a program called Xbox All Access. This program is available at Cyberport, as well as at Media Markt and Saturn. In two years you pay a total of 791.76 euros for Xbox All Access, if you choose the financing model for the Xbox Series X or 599.76 euros for the version with the smaller Xbox Series S. The question is whether the offer is worth it. Well, in addition to the games console, which costs around 400 or 500 euros, there is also the Xbox Game Pass Ultimate game subscription for two years. If you subscribe to Xbox Game Pass Ultimate for two years, you pay – regular – 311.76 euros. You also have to calculate the consoles, so that a single purchase costs 811.75 euros for the Xbox Series X or 600.76 euros for the Xbox Series S.

How can you increase your chances of getting an Xbox Series X|S at Amazon & Co.?

Even if there’s no sale going on, there are a few things you can do as a reader to increase your chances of the next drop. If there’s a sale on Amazon, then Prime members have the best chance, as the retail giant has only sold to Prime customers in its last few drops. If you are not a member yet, you can test Amazon Prime for 30 days free of charge. The sales window at the shipping giant usually opens between 9 a.m. and 12 p.m. Ideally, the Xbox Series X|S should already be on the shop shopping list.

Xbox Series S: What are the differences to the Xbox Series X?

Both the Xbox Series X and its little brother, the Series S, have been officially on the market since November 10th. However, as a result of the effects of the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, the Xbox Series X in particular is rarely actually commercially available. This contrasts with the smaller Xbox Series S, which is currently in stock at Amazon, for example. With the Xbox Series S, customers have to do without an integrated UHD Blu-ray drive and make do with a 512 gigabyte – instead of a terabyte – large NVMe SSD. In addition, Microsoft has installed a slightly weaker graphics chip and adjusted the clock speed of the Ryzen CPU, so that the Xbox Series S is designed to display games in a maximum of 1440p and not in UHD, like the larger Xbox Series X. In return, the Xbox Series S smaller, lighter and, with an RRP of 299 euros, significantly cheaper than the Xbox Series X at just under 500 euros.
