Plex announces that they have now started testing a universal version of Plex Media Server that is fully adapted for Apple’s M1 chip.
The new version offers significantly higher performance on compatible Macs, as it is no longer dependent on the Rosetta emulation tool.
If you want to install the M1-adapted version right now, you can download it from Plex forum.
Eventually, the update will be rolled out to all users, but expect it to take a while.
