Here is a clip where we get a brief insight into what everyday life on the International Space Station ISS can look like. In the clip, we see ESA astronaut Matthias Maurer getting ready to go to bed.

Just like here on earth, astronauts also have some evening routines, such as toothbrushing, which they have to take care of before they go to bed. However, most of these routines become a little more cumbersome to implement due to the weightlessness that prevails on the ISS.

German Matthias Maurer belongs to ISS Expedition 66/67 and was one of the four astronauts who arrived on the ISS with a SpaceX Crew-3 flight in November last year.

SpaceX has sent four new astronauts to the ISS

Fifth manned space trip for SpaceX

Tonight, SpaceX sent a new crew of astronauts to the International Space Station ISS. The four astronauts Raja Chari, Tom Marshburn and Kayla Barron from NASA and Matthias Maurer from ESA were launched from the Kennedy Space Center, Cape Canaveral, Florida, using one of the SpaceX Falcon 9 rockets. They then continued their journey towards the ISS with the SpaceX capsule Crew Dragon after it separated from the Falcon 9 rocket. SpaceX conducted its first manned test flight to the ISS with the Demo-2 mission in May 2020. This was followed by the Crew-1 and Crew-2 missions, which also went to the ISS, in November 2020 and April 2021. In September 2021, SpaceX sent its first private manned missions from Earth. Then the Inspiration4 gang spent a few days in orbit around the earth in a Crew Dragon capsule. After the night’s launch of Crew-3, SpaceX has made a total of five manned space travel from Earth and it all seems to soon begin to resemble routine for the company. In the clip above, you can check out when Crew-3 left Earth tonight. Below is a clip from the crew on their way to the ISS. Sometime last night Swedish time, the Crew-3 dock with the ISS is expected.
