Just in time for the start of the new week, the current retail software charts from Great Britain are now available. Unsurprisingly, the newly released shooter “Sniper Elite 5” jumped to the top. But Guerrilla Games’ “Horizon: Forbidden West” is still well represented.
In keeping with the start of the new week, we received the current software charts from Great Britain, which were collected by GfK Chart-Track and published by GamesIndustry.biz. As usual, only retail sales are taken into account, while the digital sales figures are collected in separate charts.
Unsurprisingly, the newly released shooter “Sniper Elite 5” from Rebellion secured the top spot in the sales week from May 23 to 28, 2022. Certainly also due to the fact that the title found its way into the Xbox Game Pass on time for the launch, “Sniper Elite 5” started worse than its predecessor from 2017. Here, the retail sales figures fell by 64 percent in a direct comparison.

In addition, the release in Xbox Game Pass and the increasing prevalence of the purely digital Xbox Series S in the UK meant that the Xbox versions contributed only eight percent of retail unit sales of “Sniper Elite 5”. The rest came from the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 versions.
Guerrilla Games’ action role-playing game “Horizon: Forbidden West” had to vacate first place, which took second place in the British retail charts last week. Followed by Nintendo Switch Sports, LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga and the racing game Gran Turismo 7, which continues to sell most of its units on the PlayStation 5.
