Unlike other major licenses nintendo as mario and Zelda, Metroid did not have the honors of an episode on nintendo64. You will have to wait for the gamecube for the series to see its game mechanics transposed into 3D with the Metroid Prime. However, one can wonder what could have looked like Metroid on Nintendo’s 64-bit console… And if you’re having trouble envisioning the result, some fans have decided to answer this question by developing Metroid 64a third-person game, created from the engine Unity 3D. For the moment, the project is still in progress but the first images unveiled on Twitter are more than promising. We see Samus wandering in a purple cave in the purest style N64jump from platform to platform, use your cannon and even turn into a morphing ball… In a single sequence, we find ourselves projected into the 90s, dreaming as we would have done at the time in front of the first images of the game, while waiting for its release…

The title still has some bugs but the developers continue to work and hope to release the final game. Of course, we will follow this closely. In the meantime, find the Metroid 64 video below and don’t hesitate to tell us what you think in the comments.
