A recent survey of airfare costs by Cheapair.com found that hotspots such as Dayton, Ohio, Greensboro, North Carolina, and Flint, Michigan, have had the largest price increases on average between 2021 and 2022. The top 10 on the list all have smaller airports that are limited in the number of flights, even as travel demand increases in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic, Cheapair.com noted.
