The chief executive of German carmaker Mercedes-Benz has warned of drastic consequences should Russia stop supplying Berlin with natural gas in response to Western sanctions imposed after Moscow’s invasion of Ukraine. “If gas deliveries were halted, this would affect many parts of the economy,” Ola Källenius said on Friday at an online general meeting.
