Dark Souls’ online feature has been in maintenance for quite a while. Since then, the servers for the PvP mode have been inaccessible for months. FromSoftware is now making it clear once again that “they are currently in the process of restoring the online servers of the games.”

Before, but apparently also after the launch of FromSoftware’s new hit Elden Ring, the work on the Dark Souls servers took a back seat in terms of priority. The servers were actually only “temporarily” deactivated in January after significant security gaps were noticed. Shortly thereafter, it was said that it would take at least until the launch of Elden Ring.

However, the studio’s new game has been out for months now, but so far there has been no sign of the online feature in the Dark Souls series. now emphasizes FromSoftware however, that the feature will be coming back soon. More specifically, it said it plans to “gradually restore online service for each game.”

Dark Souls’ online features have been offline throughout the trilogy for a while. However, FromSoftware is working to fix this.

The beginning of the Souls trilogy should be Dark Souls 3, probably because it affects a particularly large number of players. When exactly the function will be available again in which game, FromSoftware does not yet reveal. It only says “as soon as we have completed the necessary work to fix the problem”. You know the classic: the function is made live as soon as it is ready.

Additional updates to the Souls games are also planned, but there are no official details yet. Finally, FromSoftware states, “We would like to thank all of our players for their patience and understanding while we work to resolve this issue.”
