“[IT Home Evaluation Room]OPPO K10 Evaluation: The first Dimensity 8000-MAX, which can fight against the Snapdragon 888”

So, how is the OPPO K10 Pro experience? How to choose between OPPO K10? I hope this review can give you an answer.

For the specific configuration of the two new machines, please refer to the following pictures for details:

1. Appearance design

Appearance, the OPPO K10 series continues the design language of the predecessor K9, full of personality, and the rear shell adopts an integrated design, which is very recognizable.

K10 Pro’s matte homogenous process gives the body two completely different textures. The upper part of the lens module is highlighted, and the whole is slightly raised. There are unique grilles and laser characters on the right side. .

The lower part of the back shell has a texture similar to AG frosted glass, which is more delicate and not easy to leave fingerprints.

The OPPO K10 Pro weighs 199g and has a thickness of 8.56mm. Considering the 5000mAh large battery, dual lifters, X-axis linear motor and heat dissipation, the weight of 199g is acceptable.

In terms of detailed design, the top and bottom of the fuselage and both sides of the middle frame are added with a circle of high-gloss small chamfers, which makes the product look a little more refined.

On the front, OPPO K10 Pro is equipped with a 6.62-inch Samsung E4 straight screen, with 120Hz high refresh rate, 1080P resolution, up to 1000Hz instant touch sampling rate, 100% DCI-P3 wide color gamut, HDR display scene, the highest support 1100nit brightness. In terms of look and feel, this screen is basically the performance of the first echelon among products in the same gear.

This screen has also passed Samsung Seamless Pro high refresh rate certification and SGS eye protection certification.

Accessories include a protective case, a card removal pin, a data cable, and an 80W super flash charger.

2. Performance experience

The previous generation OPPO K9 Pro was equipped with the Dimensity 1200 processor, and this time, the OPPO K10 Pro directly uses the Snapdragon 888. This flagship SoC has been used on various flagship machines such as the OPPO Find X3 Pro, although it has been released. It has been more than a year, but after all, “a thin camel is bigger than a horse”, there is no doubt that the OPPO K10 Pro has reached the flagship level of performance.

The Snapdragon 888 is familiar to everyone. Based on Samsung’s 5nm process, the CPU uses 1 x 2.84GHz (Cortex X1)+3 x 2.4GHz (Cortex A78)+4 x 1.8GHz (Cortex A55), and the GPU is Adreno 660.

Let’s take a look at the scores:

In the AnTuTu benchmark, the OPPO K10 Pro scored 790,000+ points; the CPU was 193566 and the GPU was 317366;

GeekBench 5 scored 1097 for single-core and 3433 for multi-core.

(The performance adjustment of different models is different, the above running points are for reference only)

In terms of GPU testing, in 3DMark’s Wild Life, the OPPO K10 Pro scored an overall score of 5870, with an average frame rate of 35.2fps.

(The performance adjustment of different models is different, the above running points are for reference only)

The entire OPPO K10 series comes standard with LPDDR5 and UFS3.1, and the storage specifications are 8+128, 8+256, and 12+256. The 128GB version supports up to 5GB of memory expansion; the 256GB version supports up to 7GB of memory expansion.

(128GB version)

IT Home got the 8+128GB version, and the read speed measured by Androbench was 1674MB/s, which was in line with the performance of UFS 3.1.

In general, the running score of the Snapdragon 888 is still expected, but it is not surprising when used on the K series.

3. Game experience

After measuring the running score, let’s take a look at the game performance.

In this part, IT House tested “Yuan Shen” and “Peace Elite”.

testing,Turn on the gaming mode of the phone and the performance mode in the battery, and turn off the extreme frame stabilization.

The first is “Peace Elite”.

(The picture quality settings of Peace Elite are as above)

IT House chose smooth picture quality + 90Hz, and measured a game (15 minutes), the average frame rate of OPPO K10 Pro reached 89.2fps, which is basically close to the full frame experience.

The core map also confirms this. The Snapdragon 888 on the K10 Pro, its Cortex X1 super-large core and the other three mid-core cores are basically in a relatively fighting state.

Let’s look at the original god again.

(Yuanshen picture quality settings are as above)

IT House chose high-end image quality + 60 frames, motion blur was turned off, and the game scene was selected to fight monsters in the wild. In the game of about 15 minutes, the average frame rate of OPPO K10 Pro was 40fps.

In the “Genshin Impact” game, the OPPO K10 Pro did not experience a resolution reduction.

Another very interesting phenomenon, IT Home found in the game test,In the battle scene, the OPPO K10 Pro will try to maintain the frame rate above 40fps. On the contrary, the frame rate will be locked at about 30fps in the static state..

For the user’s actual experience, this strategy is quite friendly – imagine maintaining a high frame rate during combat and a low frame rate in a stationary state, which not only ensures low power consumption, but also ensures a relatively excellent high-frame experience.Although, this strategy is not dominant in average frame rate.

Let’s take a look at the power consumption. The average power consumption of Yuanshen for 30 minutes is less than 6W (dual-cell, 2.89*2):

Average core temperature, just 49°C:

In addition, the heat dissipation of OPPO K10 Pro is also relatively fierce, with a total heat dissipation area of 17932.511mm².

In the “Genshin Impact” game, the highest temperature measured was 43.2°C, which is quite good for temperature control.

In general, the performance of OPPO K10 Pro in “Yuanshen” is in line with the level of Snapdragon 888, and it also ensures a relatively good body temperature during the game; on the other hand, it is the painting in the “Yuanshen” game. The quality has not shrunk, ensuring an excellent look and feel.

If you have higher frame rate requirements for the “Genshin Impact” game, OPPO has given a simple and rude solution:

One, released the OPPO 18W freezing point cooling back clip, which is the same as the OnePlus 18W freezing point cooling back clip. This back clip can make the phone cool down in a short time, and keep the output cool for a long time, if you If you are a serious gamer, then this cooling back clip is quite worth buying.

Second, choose the OPPO K10 that is more inclined to game tuning. A conclusion must be drawn here – the actual measurement of IT Home,The game frame rate performance of OPPO K10 in “Genshin Impact” and “Peace Elite” is better than that of OPPO K10 Pro.

Fourth, charging test

The OPPO K10 Pro is equipped with an 80W super flash charge and uses a 5000mAh large-capacity battery. Officials say it can be fully charged in 31 minutes. In addition, this charging head also supports the previous generation 65W super flash charge, as well as 18W QC and PD fast charge.

Let’s take a look directly at the output state of the K10 Pro’s 80W super flash charge during charging.

(Yellow part is charging power/W)

As shown in the figure above, the OPPO K10 Pro maintained a power of about 65W within 3 minutes of charging, and then maintained a power of 55W for 2 minutes; after charging for 10 minutes, it maintained a power of 35W for about 10 minutes.

When the power reaches about 90%, the power is still about 10W. At this time, the advantages of the VFC trickle charging optimization algorithm are reflected. The algorithm aims to improve the efficiency of the charging range by 90%-100%. It is a slow charging strategy to protect the battery when the mobile phone is nearly full.

Finally, it took about 37 minutes for the OPPO K10 Pro to be fully charged (100% displayed), which is relatively fast for a large 5000mAh battery.

5. Image measurement

In the imaging part, the OPPO K10 Pro main camera is equipped with a Sony IMX766 ultra-large bottom sensor, which supports OIS optical image stabilization. The same flagship image CMOS decentralization.

The other two are 8 million ultra-wide-angle and 2 million “tactical” lenses.

In terms of algorithms, it also supports self-developed polar night mode, DOL-HDR, etc.

Judging from the proofs, the main camera of the OPPO K10 Pro can meet the daily full-scene shooting needs of users. After all, it is the IMX766. This flagship sensor first launched on the OPPO Reno5 Pro + has now become the standard of major flagship phones. Matching, and OPPO is also familiar with the IMX766, so naturally there is no need to worry about the main camera image power of the K10 Pro.

Let’s take a look at the sample performance of OPPO K10 Pro:

Summarize:

Evaluating the OPPO K10 Pro can be viewed from multiple perspectives.

First of all, compared with the previous generation K9 Pro, the OPPO K10 Pro has different levels of upgrades in linear motors, dual speakers, screens, processors, flash charging and other configurations. It is a very sincere work.

Secondly, the decentralization of flagship hardware such as Snapdragon 888, IMX766, 80W flash charging, Samsung E4 screen, etc., makes OPPO K10 Pro significantly more like a hard-core flagship machine in terms of product definition. And these hardware configurations also give OPPO K10 Pro obvious advantages and competitiveness among products in the same grade.

Finally, the two new products of the OPPO K10 series, although belonging to the same series, have different positioning.OPPO K10 Pro emphasizes a comprehensive experience close to the flagship, or comparable to the performance flagship. The OPPO K10 has a more outstanding high-frame game performance. So in the face of these two products, how to choose is also very easy- If you pursue the all-round experience, choose OPPO K10 Pro; if you are a serious gamer, choose OPPO K10!

Similarly, for student parties or users with a small budget, who want to pursue a product with outstanding performance, the OPPO K10 series is a pretty good choice.
