Soon to be renamed the Xbox & Bethesda & Activision & Blizzard Games Showcase

It’s almost May, and at this time of year, editors and manufacturers already communicate on their plans for Junetraditionally the busiest month in terms of communication around the video game. Microsoft just revealed a date for its biggest event of the year, the Xbox & Bethesda Games Showcasewhich will be released on Twitch and Youtube June 12 at 7 p.m. (French time).

Like 2020, it’s not because there are no E3 this year that the major players in the industry will be embarrassed to produce shows which will flood players with announcements that will make them not know what to do with them. And Microsoft is clearly the first to draw a date, as specified this post on Xbox Wire.

  • We are happy to announce that the Xbox & Bethesda Games Showcase will start on Sunday, June 12 at 7 p.m. (French time). The event will focus on titles from Xbox Game Studios, Bethesda, and several creator partners around the world.
  • The Xbox & Bethesda Games Showcase will deliver a lot of information on the games that will soon be released in the Xbox ecosystem, as well as those soon to join the Game Pass catalog, on console and PC.

This brief statement does not give no clue about games which will be shown during the showcase, but with so many studios working for the green team and games in preparation, there will surely be plenty to do.

As a reminder, Microsoft has unveiled a number of exclusives during E3 2021. If plans to revive licenses like Perfect Dark or Fable would still be in their infancy, we can hope for better glimpses of Ninja Theory’s Senua’s Saga: Hellblade II, Red Fall by Arkane Austin, Avowed from Obsidianand especially the next major RPG from Bethesda Gameworks: Starfield. After all, the title comes out at the end of the year, and we still haven’t seen pictures of the game.

Of course, we can also expect exclusive announcements still difficult to anticipate, such as “God of War joins the Game Pass” and “Microsoft buys Nintendo”.
