Designer Parker Ortolani reportedthat a new company, Realityo Systems LLC, has registered the RealityOS trademark. The application was submitted on December 8, 2021 for categories such as “peripheral devices”, “software”, and most importantly, “wearable computing equipment”.
This company may be associated with Apple, which often uses front organizations to maintain secrecy. For example, one of Apple’s shell companies is Yosemite Research LLC, which the Cupertinos use to register the macOS names Yosemite and Big Sur.
Earlier, developers found a mention of RealityOS in the App Store logs. So it can’t just be a coincidence.
Earlier this year, a few developers found references to a platform named ?RealityOS? in App Store logs. This, of course, corroborated multiple rumors about Apple working on a new mixed reality headset. Now, thanks to a new ?RealityOS? trademark, we may have a clue that this new AR/VR headset from Apple is indeed coming soon. [?]
