2022 Global LTPS LCD Smartphone Panel Q1 Shipment Ranking: Tianma Ranks First, BOE Second

Today, Tianma Microelectronics officially announced that in the global LTPS LCD smartphone panel shipment ranking list released by Sigmaintell in the first quarter of 2022, Tianma continued to rank first in the world.

It can be seen from the list that Tianma ranks first with a market share of 26.0%. As a representative of Chinese display panel companies, Tianma has continued to remain the champion in this field since breaking the monopoly of foreign manufacturers for more than ten years in the fourth quarter of 2017.

In recent years, Tianma has successfully developedTED In-Cell (single-chip touch) technology, In-Cell active pen technology, high PPI VR (virtual reality) high brush and fast response technology, low blue light 100% DCI-P3 technology, mini-LED technologyand other industry-leading display solutions. These technologies are the key to Tianma’s leadership.

The second is BOE with a market share of 21.4%.Previously, BOE released a report for the first quarter of 2022, with operating income of 50.476 billion yuan, a slight increase of 0.40% year-on-year.

By the end of the first quarter of 2022, the total assets of BOE were 457.064 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 1.52%.BOE continues to be the leader in the global semiconductor display industry, and has launched many innovative products in the fields of ultra-high definition, high refresh rate, and gaming display.

In addition, the three to five are Japan Display (14.4%), CSOT (11.6%) and Sharp (10.6%), and other manufacturers have a total share of 15.9%.
