The first PvP beta for Overwatch 2 has officially started and those who haven’t received an invitation yet can still hope. Because after Blizzard briefly distributed access via Twitch-Drop, it can be assumed that further such actions will follow.

Overwatch fans can currently put the second part of the shooter through its paces in the first PvP beta. who signed up for the beta on the official website and with a bit of luck has received an invitation can already start gambling. But even those who did not receive access to the test phase by e-mail can be happy. Because Blizzard also distributes the accesses in other ways.

Further beta phases will follow

Yesterday, April 27, 2022, fans could also get an invite to the Overwatch 2 beta via Twitch Drop. Viewers who watched a registered Twitch streamer play the beta for a total of at least four hours between 7:00 p.m. and 3:00 a.m. the following day were guaranteed access to the test phase.

Although this promotion has already ended, we assume that Blizzard will continue to allow players via Twitch Drop to the beta in the future, in addition to classic invitations via email. In any case, the FAQs for the Overwatch 2 beta already mention that the developers are planning further beta phases. The first beta phase will last until May 17, 2022 – maybe there will be more Twitch drops then. At the latest with the next beta phase, however, Blizzard will certainly start a comparable campaign again.

If you want to know which Twitch channels took part in the drop campaign and will probably also participate in future campaigns, you will find a corresponding list in the official beta FAQs. In order to redeem a Twitch Drop, the following also applies: Your own Twitch account must be linked to the Battlenet account.
