Apple’s iMessage, which delights owners of Apple technology, may soon be available for Android smartphones.
One of the developers participating in the Apple Developer Program found in the code of the actively tested iOS 15.5 beta 3 the text about sending iMessage not only “people using Apple devices” but also “people using iMessage”. It is not difficult to guess that in addition to Apple devices, consumers also use Android devices. All other mobile operating systems are not so widespread.
So it turns out that in the near future, Android devices will be able to receive and send iMessage. And this shouldn’t be surprising. Yes, these are competing systems, but the music streaming service Apple Music is available not only on iPhone, but also in the Google Play app store for Android smartphones. And in the European Union they are preparing a law about a unified way of passing messages between different operating systems. iMessage can be one of such methods.
It is impossible to say 100% that “tomorrow” iMessage for Android devices will appear, but there are prerequisites for this.
