A former character artist from Starfield has now commented on the allegedly terrible flight controls and a possible beta in the summer.

A former character artist at Bethesda Game Studios recently gave a behind-the-scenes look at Starfield. In the ResetEra forum, where he called himself Hevy008, he answered questions about the game and his work, unofficially of course.

Bloomberg journalist Jason Schreier confirmed later at least that Hevy008 was who he claimed to be. However, Schreier cannot necessarily confirm everything he said.

We have attached corresponding screenshots below.

Hevy008 found his former job to be cool, reliable and safe. Todd Howard (Game Director, Executive Producer) is definitely a charismatic guy.

The former employee had nothing good to say about the Creative Engine used for the role-playing game Starfield. It was really rubbish, to put it mildly.

Since the beginning of the year, Starfield has had playtests every Thursday, bringing together more and more of the game’s content.

Although Starfield looks good and feels okay to shoot, it’s terrible to fly and not fun at all.

As for the lighting and things like that, he could say that while they’re not on the level of a Horizon Forbidden West, they still look good.

Regarding the planned release date for Starfield, which is officially set for November 11, 2022, he said that they will definitely try to meet it. The content would also be shortened.

Content is not the problem anyway. You would have a lot, if not too many of them.

Bug fixing would be the big thing and such a date (11/11/22) was too tempting not to want to stick to it.

A beta will take place in the summer, where you will see more clearly how Starfield is doing.
