The Zhengzhou-Chongqing high-speed railway is located in the three provinces and cities of Henan, Hubei and Chongqing. Among them, the section from Wanzhou north to Chongqing and the east section from Zhengzhou to Xiangyang were put into operation on November 28, 2016 and December 1, 2019 respectively.

Eight new stations including Nanzhang, Baokang County, Shennongjia, Xingshan, Badong, Wushan, Fengjie and Yunyang will be built in the east of Xiangyang to the north of Wanzhou.

The Zhengzhou-Chongqing high-speed railway from Xiangyang east to the north of Wanzhou has a total length of 392 kilometers, of which 208 kilometers are in Hubei Province and 184 kilometers in Chongqing. Before this, the section from Wanzhou north to Wushan has entered the operational test stage.

The operation test of the new line of Zhengyu high-speed railway in Hubei was carried out after the successful completion of the joint commissioning and joint test. The test train will run between Xiangyang East Station and Wushan Station.

During the joint commissioning and testing, the railway department tested 12 major items such as tracks, bridges, tunnels, traction power supply and communication, signaling, and customer service systems, and launched 895 test trains of various types, with a test mileage of 95,000 kilometers. The functions of various fixed facilities and mobile devices have been verified, and the lines meet the operating conditions.

The operation test is mainly to test the adaptability of the transportation organization of each system of the high-speed rail line through fault simulation, emergency rescue drill, parameter test of train operation diagram and driving test according to the diagram, and provide technical basis for improving the transportation organization plan.
