IT House reported on April 28 that Mr. Robert Krakoff (also known as “Razer Guy”), co-founder and honorary chairman of the famous computer game peripheral brand Razer brand, died of old age. Although the official statement has not yet been issued, his friend has mourned him on social media.
IT House learned that Razer is one of the gaming equipment brands, founded in 1998 by CEO Chen Minliang and Robert “Razerguy” Krakoff in San Diego, California, USA. In the mid-1990s, with the rise of online gaming and competitive first-person shooter (FPS) games, gamers found that traditional peripherals were underpowered for gaming.
Razer seized this opportunity and continued to consolidate its advantages in technology, design and ergonomics, and eventually became synonymous with professional competitive equipment. Today, Razer has won the “Best of CES” award for six consecutive years. Razer’s design and technology includes a range of user interface and system devices, player IP voice communications, and a cloud-based gaming device customization and optimization platform. On November 13, 2017, Razer announced its successful listing on the Main Board of the Stock Exchange of Hong Kong (SEHK).
