In a detailed forum post, the WoW makers have presented some special class adjustments that will come to the live servers on June 1, 2022 with WoW Patch 9.2.5. One change affects any tank specialization, because in the tank spec all heroes will generate more threat! wohoo!
WoW Patch 9.2.5 will be released on June 1st, 2022 and brings a few balance changes for some classes that were presented by the WoW developers in the official forum – so far only in the English original. So that you know what’s going to happen on June 1st, we’re going to break it all down into a series of little news items for you. This post here is about the threat to tanks.
The makers of the MMO have recently heard that a lot of threats have been lost again recently because the damage dealers are turning around. That’s why there’s a threat buff with WoW (buy now ) Patch 9.2.5. Below are the details.
WoW Patch 9.2.5: More aggro for tanks
In the Developer Class Balance Preview it says as follows:
- All classes now generate more threat when activating their tank specialization.
Developer Notes: “We’ve heard a lot of feedback from the community (and our teammates) about losing threat since the start of this season. Our intent is that a tank that is actively directing its damage rotation towards an enemy should be able to lose threat for that enemy. However, simple area of effect spells (like Sanctify or Death and Decay) alone shouldn’t do the trick on their own. We’ve analyzed this situation and think a small adjustment to the tank threat modifiers should help balance for the remainder of the enlargement.”
It looks like you had aggro issues in season 3 of WoW: Shadowlands – so, more precisely: as a tank to hold them and as a DpSer or healer to get rid of them? And more importantly, are you excited for the changes coming to the servers with WoW Patch 9.2.5? Will you cooperate with players from the other faction?
