Hardware manufacturer v-color has introduced new RAMs that work effectively at speeds of up to 6,400 megahertz. These are 32 gigabyte kits with two latches. The top model is priced at $539.99.
DDR5 RAM is finally in the starting blocks for end consumers and although the direct predecessor is still the cheaper favorite, this will probably change with broader support in the hardware world. Although the range is significantly slimmer compared to DDR4 RAM, more and more hardware manufacturers are announcing that they will be bringing more models onto the market this year and hopefully lower the average price as a result.
Hardware manufacturer v-color is now speaking up and is announcing several RAM kits based on DDR5. As part of the Manta XPrism RGB DDR5 gaming series, there should now be bars with a speed of up to 6,400 megahertz. The corresponding cycles are CL32-39-39-102 at a voltage of 1.4 volts. The RAM kits are equipped with a total of 32 gigabytes of memory and use two bars. In addition, the models are ready for XMP 3.0 and Intel’s Z690 chipset. Heatsinks take care of the heat dissipation. The RAM bars are also equipped with RGB LEDs.
v-color has also come up with another special feature. The individual models are also available as SCC 2+2 kits to fill in the remaining DIMM slots and round off the internal design of the computer better. Logically, however, a small surcharge is necessary for this. The v-color Manta XPRISM RGB DDR5 RAM with 6,400 megahertz should cost 539.99 US dollars. According to the manufacturer, the price with the SCC 2+2 kit is 599.99 US dollars. If 6,200 megahertz is enough, you can look forward to a significant discount: the standard kit only costs 399.99 US dollars.
