It’s unclear if Musk is joking or serious, it is estimated that the possibility of joking is more likely. Currently, Musk has more than 86 million followers on Twitter.
IT House learned that Twitter and Musk reached an acquisition agreement on the 25th, agreeing that Musk would acquire Twitter wholly in cash at a price of $54.20 per share, totaling about $44 billion in cash.
The deal has been unanimously approved by Twitter’s board of directors, but still requires shareholder and regulatory approvals and is expected to close in 2022. After the deal, Twitter will become a privately held company.
