Rumors piled up, but as the Star Wars Celebration progressed, we dared not believe it. And yet, Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order 2 surprised us by releasing its first teaser trailer in the evening, even if it shouldn’t be called that anymore. As Jeff Grubb had indicated, the continuation of the game of Respawn Entertainment will be named well Star Wars Jedi: Survivorand we discover the first details about it.

Cal, still surviving

This new adventure will therefore always feature Cal Kestis and his droid BD-1, and will take place 5 years after the events of the first episode.

Cal is still being hunted by the Empire, including a very threatening Pau’an, as well as the Inquisitors. Faced with these new threats, Cal will have to strengthen his bond with the Force, but the trailer also suggests that he is indeed looking for other Jedi, even if he seems to have difficulty enlisting them in his fight.

Stig Asmussen, director of this sequel, declared then :

For Jedi: Survivor, we are working closely with Lucasfilm Games to build on the legacy of Jedi: Fallen Order. We’re leveraging cutting-edge technology to create more dynamic Jedi combat and cinematic storytelling to develop Cal’s story as he matures and survives through dark times. We look forward to sharing more information about the game with everyone later this year. »

No precise date for the moment, but we know that Star Wars Jedi: Survivor will be released worldwide in 2023. Electronic Arts says this experience is built for today’s generation, which means thatit will probably only be released on PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series.

We now hope to have more details about it this summer, perhaps during the Microsoft-Bethesda conference, since the first episode had a commercial deal with Xbox, even if it seems a little early.
