People in Asia have started accessing the new PlayStation Plus, which means that they can now play classic games from previous PlayStation generations. The performance fans from Digital Foundry have put their hands on the software to see if there is anything to have.

They have both good and bad news when it comes to emulation. The good news is that the PlayStation 1 emulation does not use the same checkout emulation software that could be found in the PlayStation Classic micro console. The bad news is that several of the games use the slow PAL versions (50Hz), which is not optimal when there are NTSC versions (60Hz) that are faster.

The emulators have a number of different settings and filters that you can apply if you now get started on such things.
