AliExpress has problems with paying for goods with Russian bank cards. This is reported by TASS, as well as the users of the marketplace themselves.
According to the source, the Russian office of AliExpress is experiencing problems with receiving and processing payments from Russians.
“At the moment we are seeing some difficulties with the processing of payments. We are actively investigating the problem, and soon users will be able to pay [покупки] by all means without any difficulties,” representatives of “AliExpress Russia
Users report that at the moment, payments for Russian goods are going through without problems – for example, in the Tmall store. When trying to pay for a foreign order, Russians encounter the error “For technical reasons, some payments from the card do not go through. Try another way.” As an option, AliExpress offers to pay with QIWI or a phone number.
In social networks they write that problems arise with the cards of Russian banks that fell under the sanctions. The AliExpress press service does not confirm this information, calling what is happening a technical failure. The company promises to fix everything in the near future.
I myself conducted an experiment – I tried to pay for two different orders with two Russian cards. Payment with the Tinkoff MasterCard card went without problems, and when I tried to pay with the Sberbank card, I saw an error as in the screenshot above.
