In November last year, the creators of Pokémon GO at Niantic released another AR title for smartphones with Pikmin Bloom. Now you can deliver fresh content via update.

Niantic has now announced a new patch for Pikmin Bloom – based on the well-known Nintendo brand – which should be available for download from April 28th. The focus of the update is the new feature of weekly challenges, which should keep you going.

After the update, there is now a tab for “Activities” on the start screen. There you will find a list of challenges from which you can then select one and choose the group of friends you would like to complete the weekly challenge with. Every week there will be new challenges to discover here.

Pikmin Bloom has a friends feature that allows you to add friends to a friends list using a 12-digit friend code or QR code. The Friends page shows friends’ avatars, account name, and steps taken. You can also send postcards to friends here.

For example, the current weekly challenge is to reach the specified total number of steps together with friends. When a group of friends completes a weekly challenge, you will receive a reward. If the challenge is not completed, there is still a participation bonus. The different types of challenges will be expanded and varied in the future.

In addition to the weekly challenges, there are new decorative Pikmin in the game with the update.
