Today, ZTE has officially released the camera specifications of the yet unannounced flagship Axon 40 Ultra. She will receive three lenses: main, wide-angle and periscope with 5x magnification, 64 megapixels each. The main sensor and periscope will be equipped with optical
stabilization. They also promise the ability to record 8K video on each of them, although the usefulness of such a solution remains in question.
The display of the ZTE Axon 40 Ultra also promises to be interesting. This is an OLED matrix with independent pixel drive technology, which will allow you to make the pixel density over 400ppi and minimize the difference in brightness of different areas of the display. Also, the screen will receive rounding on the sides and very thin bezels at the top and bottom.
It is even more interesting to look at the implementation of the 44-megapixel front camera in the ZTE Axon 40 Ultra, located under the screen. After all, ZTE has already applied this technology in Axon 20 and Axon 30, but its implementation left much to be desired. Whether it will be possible in the new generation to bring it to mind, we will find out on May 9, when the presentation of the ZTE Axon 40 Ultra will take place. The price for the base model will be around $750, and the flagship Snapdragon 8 Gen1 will be responsible for its operation.
As a result, we can say that the ZTE Axon 40 Ultra will be very interesting in terms of hardware, but ZTE has never been famous for software. And there is no reason to believe that this time something will change. And don’t expect a reasonable price tag either.
