The EU is working to protect European consumers from the consequences of Russia’s gas supply freeze to Poland and Bulgaria, says Commission President Ursula von der Leyen. “Our response will be immediate, united and coordinated,” von der Leyen said in Brussels on Wednesday. “Poland and Bulgaria are now receiving gas from their EU neighbours,” she added.
