Pfizer recalled five lots of the heart and blood pressure drug Accupril after tests found high levels of an impurity that can cause cancer. The Accupril (Quinapril HCl) tablets had an increased level of nitrosamine above the acceptable daily intake level, according to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA). The FDA says these high levels can increase the risk of cancer over time.
