The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has found nine cases of the monkeypox virus in seven states as of Wednesday, according to CNN, who cited CDC Director Dr. Rochelle Walensky. Cases have appeared in Florida, Massachusetts, Utah, California, Washington, Virginia and New York, according to CNN. Some of the people infected with the virus in these cases have recently traveled to other countries with monkeypox outbreaks while others did not.
