Recently, Fast Technology learned from FAW officials that FAW’s first dual-motor hybrid special transmission has been officially mass-produced. It is understood that FAW Hongqi has started the development of the first dual-motor DHT (Dedicated Hybrid Transmission) since its establishment in 2019. The first product adopts a series-parallel hybrid configuration, which integrates the functions of deceleration, acceleration and differential speed. It can realize all hybrid working modes such as pure electric drive, series drive, parallel drive, and direct engine drive. The speed is 15000r/min, the output torque is 3200Nm, the highest transmission efficiency is 98.6%, the direct drive mode switching response time is less than 350ms, and the NVH performance is excellent. What is the concept of transmission efficiency as high as 98.6%? For comparison, the current mainstream gearboxes are MT manual, with transmission efficiency greater than or equal to 96%; dry dual clutch, transmission efficiency of 90%~95%; wet dual clutch, transmission efficiency of 86%~92%; AT automatic, 82%~ 90% and CVT stepless, 80%~88%. With the highest transmission efficiency of 98.6%, it can be said that the transmission efficiency of FAW’s first dual-motor hybrid special transmission is in the industry.
