Kry Connect is a service that doctors and others in healthcare can use to meet their patients via video calls. Ekot has now reviewed the service and discovered that it leaked data about both the doctor and the patient to Facebook. This is data that in other cases can be seen as relatively harmless, such as name and email address, but since this is care, this is also very serious.
– Just that you have sought me in any case can be sensitive for you. You should never spread patient information in any way, anywhere, says doctor Torsten Mossberg, expert on doctors’ professional responsibility and member of the Swedish Medical Association’s board to Ekot.
Kry chooses not to appear for an interview if it happened, but says in a comment that it is very serious. They have reported themselves to the Privacy Protection Authority.
