Express Mission Event Update Answers Fan Complaints

As we reported recently, there has been some confusion with the new Express Mission Event in Lost Ark. This is primarily intended for characters who are still in the first two content tiers of the game. Although this is written in the official patch notes, in the actual game there was no indication that the main character could not also be used for the event. In fact, the only reward shown included upgrade materials for T3 characters, which is why a large number of players started the event with their main character.

There have been some complaints about this situation on the title’s official forums, and Amazon Games tried to do some damage control by including a small in-game note explaining the event in a bit more detail. However, the note came a little late as many players have already made the mistake.

Character swapping is now possible in the Express Mission Event

Amazon Games also noticed this, which is why community manager Maselbart is now in a new forum post explains that after the upcoming maintenance on Thursday, April 28th, players will be able to change their selected character for the event once. Only level 50 characters with a maximum item level of 1000 can be used for the swap, as originally written in the patch notes.

“During our weekly maintenance on Thursday, we will be updating the event to allow for a ‘character switch’ feature. This feature will give you the ability to switch your designated event character once, giving you a better choice of which character to use you want to claim the Express Mission Event rewards. However, only level 50 characters with an item level below 1100 can be selected as an Express Mission Event character.”

Furthermore, players are not allowed to change their character if they have already used the event’s upgrade benefit for T1 or T2 gear pieces. This does not apply to players who only upgraded their T3 gear. Also, any event rewards already received cannot be claimed again, so players will not receive double rewards. So if you plan on changing your character for the event, you should wait until Thursday and not redeem any of the rewards.

Last but not least, the event engraving selection chests have also been adjusted. Originally, some popular engravings were missing in the chests, which will now be given later. The update will also apply to any chests that have already been claimed but are still in players’ inventories.
