All games over a certain price must be able to be tested by subscribers.

A new report says that Sony has informed developers about plans to offer time-limited free trials of games to Playstation Plus subscribers. These free samples must be offered for all games that have a wholesale price (ie not a consumer price) of more than € 33, corresponding to SEK 345.

It is Game Developer who claim to have spoken to experienced sources, and according to them, the free test must be at least two hours long. After a game is released on the Playstation Store, they have three months to release the free trial, after which it must be available to Playstation Plus Premium subscribers for at least twelve months.

However, this does not apply retroactively to games that have already been released, and Sony is also said to be open to developers and publishers releasing the demo of their games, but it will be addressed on a case-by-case basis.

The whole thing has not yet been confirmed by Sony, so take it with a pinch of salt. But surely it would add a little extra value to the new Playstation Plus service?
