Samsung today launched the T7 Shield, a portable solid-state drive with almost the same internal hardware as the previous T7, with a drop-proof, water- and dust-proof design. This SSD is compact in appearance, only about the size of a credit card, weighs only about 98 grams, and has a capacity of 1TB and 2TB. It has a rubber casing that is resistant to drops of up to 3 meters and is IP65 certified for dust and water resistance. The USB 3.2 Gen2 standard interface has a read speed of 1050MB/s and a write speed of 1000MB/s, which is about twice that of the Samsung T5 and 9.5 times faster than the Samsung external mechanical hard drive HX-MTD10EA. In terms of compatibility, the T7 Shield runs smoothly whether it is on PC, Mac, smartphone (Android) or game console. Additionally, the T7 Shield strengthens security with hardware encryption, supporting 256-bit AES. It is reported that the T7 Shield will be released in China in May. It is available in three colors: moon screen white, night black and magic blue. It comes with a USB Type-C to C cable and a USB Type-C to A cable. Warranty for three years.
