With the release of the new Sword & Shield – Astral Shine expansion for the Pokémon Trading Card Game, we are proud to present you with two powerful new cards.
Today is the release of the new expansion for the Pokémon TCG, Sword & Shield – Astral Shine. Over 180 new cards pick up numerous elements from the Hisui region and thus Pokémon Legends: Arceus. Particularly prominent cards that you can find in boosters include Ur-Dialga VSTAR, Ur-Palkia VSTAR, as well as VSTAR cards of the Hisui forms of Silvarro, Tornupto, and Admurai.
We can present two of them exclusively to you here. Darkrai VSTAR and the item trainer card “Dark Plaster” complement each other well and are perfect for decks that need to deal a lot of damage quickly. This item allows you to assign a Dark Energy from the discard pile to one of your Benched Pokémon. What’s nice about Darkrai VSTAR’s Star Abyss ability is that you can search your deck for Dark Pavement and immediately boost the Dark Aura attack. This does an additional 30 damage for each Dark Energy attached to Darkrai VSTAR. If necessary, you can pick up another useful item card from the discard pile. This powerful Darkrai even adorns the new Top Trainer Box as a promo card!
If you’re lucky, you might even discover a new species of Shiny Pokémon: Shiny Pokémon. These should be a new showpiece for collectors. In summary, Sword & Shield – Astral Glory consists of the following cards:
- Over 180 cards
- 3 Radiant Pokémon
- 8 Pokémon VSTAR
- 21 Pokémon V and two Pokémon VMAX
- 30 cards with special art in the Trainer Gallery subset
- More than 20 trainer cards.
