The return of Harrison Ford in Indiana Jones is done in image and lifts the veil on the release date of the fifth film.

It’s been a long time since we’ve heard from the filming ofIndiana Jones 5. The fifth installment of the most reckless adventurer that the film industry has yet to find a release date, as well as a first official image. It is on Twitter that she reveals herself in a rather mysterious way. We can indeed only guess the silhouette of Harrison Ford, against the light in a barely lit cave.

The description, very sober, tells us: “In 2023, Harrison Ford returns as the legendary #IndianaJones. Check out the first image from the new film directed by James Mangold.” For the exact date, you have to turn to the actor himself, who announced during the Star Wars Celebration panel thatIndiana Jones 5 would be expected for June 30… 2023. This date applies to American theaters, in France nothing has yet been confirmed, but we should have it two days earlier as is the custom.

Still no info on the plot

If this news makes us so happy, it is because we expected further delays due to the injury of Harrison Ford, which occurred almost a year ago. However, it does not satisfy our ardent desire to know more about the plot of this fifth film which is still unknown to us. However, we know the many names that make up the cast, and we note the presence of Phoebe Waller Bridge (flea bag), Mads Mikkelsen (Fantastic Beasts 3), Boyd Holbrook (Logan), Toby Jones (Captain America) or the very famous Antonia Banderas.

Behind the camera, it is James Mangold who succeeds Steven Spielberg, while the latter retains a role as producer. It is also the renowned John Williams who will once again compose the epic music of this opus. It remains to be seen on the big screen what this mixture of explosive ingredients will give, more than 14 years after the release of the last Indiana Jones, we named The Kingdom of the Crystal Skull.

In addition to this encouraging information, the Star Wars panel also offered us many surprises more related to the eponymous franchise, in particular concerning Andor and The Mandalorian season 3.
