Instagram will soon bring another TikTok feature to its app as the company is testing a new sticky posts feature on user profiles. It is currently in beta testing for individual users and may soon be available to all users.

As the reverse engineer first noticed Alessandro Paluzzi and confirmed by TechCrunch, Instagram now shows an “Attach to your profile” option for select users when you use the three-dot menu next to posts.

“We’re testing a new feature that allows people to post to their profile,” a Meta spokesperson told TechCrunch in an email.

As the publication points out, “the ability to pin a specific post [on Instagram] to your profile can be a useful feature for users who want to highlight their favorite posts that may have been hidden somewhere further down in their photo grid. This feature can also be useful for creators who post frequently but want to highlight a specific post.”

TikTok, for example, already allows its users to pin videos to the top of their profiles, which helps creators highlight the most important videos or information.

The feature is part of Instagram’s push to become creator-friendly, with its head Adam Mosseri announcing a new feature almost every week that will provide a better experience for those who use Instagram to promote their own content.

Instagram’s “Pin to your profile” feature has been in testing since at least January and may see the light of day soon.
