While the developers at Blizzard encrypt a lot of the content of the Abandoned quests related to Calia Menethil, Dataminer still manage to dig up some information about WoW Patch 9.2.5. A new audio file reveals what Genn Greymane is up to.
Genn Greymane and the Forsaken – names a more iconic enemy duo. The old Alliance warrior doesn’t think much of the undead members of the Horde because their ex-boss Sylvanas once caused his son’s death. Since then, the Alliance’s attack dog has never missed a chance to show it doesn’t trust the Forsaken. This will probably be relevant again in WoW patch 9.2.5. Because in this one, the Forsaken ones left by Sylvanas… come back into focus, possibly with Calia Menethil as the new leader. “Possibly” because the developers have largely encrypted the data and content of the quests in and around Lordaeron. However, two new voice lines reveal an interesting piece of information.
Warning: potential spoilers for Patch 9.2.5 content from here on out!
Genn Greymane sends Alliance characters to spy
MrGM tweeted what new statements from Genn were discovered on the PTR:
Genn tells an Alliance game character as a quest giver to disguise himself and go deep into enemy territory. He also admits that Calia’s life brought a lot of suffering with it and that’s why she is not a typical undead. Nevertheless, he emphasizes: “The Forsaken cannot be trusted.”
What exactly do you want Alliance characters to do for Genn? That remains open. It may actually only be spying work, so that Alliance players can also see how the Forsaken faction is developing. Or what do you mean? Could Genn take even more drastic measures while Alliance King Anduin is still absent? Tell us your theories in the comments!
