Earlier this month, Apple announced that the iPod touch was officially discontinued, but it would remain available in stores “while supplies last,” and that didn’t last long. In another move to end the iPod, the company has removed the iPod touch marketing page from its website.

As noted Hido Abu Laban on Twitter, the official iPod touch web page has disappeared from Apple’s website, at least in some regions. When accessing the Apple website in countries such as Canada, Belgium, Brazil, France, Germany, Italy, Spain, or South Korea, the iPod touch page is no longer available.

When we try to access the iPod touch web page through Google results or even by entering the old URL, it redirects users to the Apple support website with links to the user manual, iPod specifications, and easy access to AppleCare options.

Of course, this didn’t come as a surprise, since a few weeks ago the only way to find an iPod on Apple’s website was to search.

Interestingly, the iPod touch marketing page is still relevant in some countries, such as the US, even though the iPod is completely sold out, but it’s probably only a matter of time before Apple shuts down the iPod page everywhere.

End of the iPod.

The iPod touch was the last product available under the iPod brand since Apple discontinued the iPod nano and iPod shuffle in 2017. The latest available iPod touch was released in 2019, but it didn’t feature any changes from its predecessor except for the A10 Fusion chip. . In addition, it was the last officially available 4-inch device in the Apple line.

It’s worth noting that even though it’s been discontinued, customers who still own the latest generation iPod touch can request technical support for it. However, it is unclear whether Apple will continue to release software updates for the seventh generation iPod touch.
