Loopmancer by eBrain Studio is a roguelite action platformer game with stylish and stunning graphics set in a cyberpunk setting. As part of Computex 2022, Nvidia has now confirmed that Loopmancer will be released on Steam this summer with Nvidia DLSS and ray tracing.

On Steam this year, a 3D platformer roguelite called Loopmancer from eBrain Studio is poised to become a new hit. The player slips into the role of the brilliant detective Xian Zixu, who is killed while trying to solve the disappearance of a famous journalist. But immediately after his death, he wakes up again in the bedroom of his apartment. Before he can realize what has happened, he receives a phone call from a colleague who explains his new case to him: he is to investigate the disappearance of a famous journalist. So he’s caught in a mysterious time loop.

Loopmancer: Roguelite action with stylish graphics

Loopmancer is set in a cyberpunk setting in the Asian metropolis of Dragon City in the year 2046. Neuro-interfaces, bionic prostheses and nano-biotechnology characterize everyday life. So while society is highly developed, the gap between rich and poor has increased. Detective Xian Zixu now has to prove himself against more than 30 types of enemies with individual behaviors: evil gangsters, well-equipped mercenaries, neuro-mutants with hacked interfaces and perfectly trained bionics. With each playthrough, the player can unlock new weapons and skills that steadily improve their combat abilities.

Especially in this setting, Nvidia’s DLSS and ray tracing support, which the chip manufacturer has announced for the title, will probably come into its own. The futuristic metropolis in particular is realistic with all its graphic effects. Loopmancer was developed with Unreal Engine 4 and the development team was able to use plugins and SDKs Nvidia’s DLSS and ray tracing reflections Add. Loopmancer is said to be for Steam appear in summer 2022, as Nvidia confirmed in its news article.
