Ratalaika Games is known for its successful independent productions. So when the young Brazilian studio, Astertic Game Studio, announces its second game with the publisher, we open our eyes. Dandy & Randy DX is an action-adventure game inspired by the 16-bit era. So you play as Dandy, or Randy depending on whether you’re playing in co-op or not, two archaeologists who have accumulated large debts with the bank. They are on the verge of bankruptcy, until the day they receive an advertisement mentioning riches on a distant island.
The emphasis is clearly on the pleasure of the game. The funny little anecdote around the title is that the game is really inspired by a story of bankruptcy. On the other hand, nothing says if it is about the life of Andre Chagas Silva, founder of the studio. Ratalaika Games has released a short teaser to see a little more detail what the title offers:
Dandy & Randy DX will be available on April 29 on PC, Xbox Series/Xbox One, PS5/PS4 and Switch.
