Bolide is a crazy creation from Bugatti developed to show what you can do if you combine lots of power with a crazy look where you can think that the car is only available in video games. But that is not the case and 40 copies of this will actually be produced. It was recently unveiled at Lake Como and this first model is fully functional and equipped with the now classic W16 engine. In this it gives over 1800 horses and it feels quite enough because the car only weighs 1240 kilos. However, the production version is a little heavier (1450 kilos) and has a little less power (1600 horses).
The first customers will get their cars sometime in 2024.

Bugatti presents the track racer Bolide
1240 kilos, 1850 horses
After teasers and spy filmed video, Bugatti’s latest model is now presented. It’s called Bolide and it’s a supercar that can only be driven on a race track. If Veyron and Chiron have been discreet, Bolide is the opposite and instead very extreme. It has a weight / power ratio of 0.67 kilos per horsepower and looks like something taken from a video game. And at the moment it is also just that – this is so far just a concept and it is said that it has not been decided yet whether it will be manufactured or not. Unexpectedly, the 8.0-liter W16 engine with four turbochargers has been used as the engine. Here they have screwed up the stuff further and the package delivers huge 1850 horses and as many newton meters in turn. The dry weight is 1240 kilos and according to Bugatti’s simulations, the car must manage 0-100 km / h in 2.17 seconds, 0-200 in 4.36, 0-300 in 7.37, 0-400 in 12.08 and 0- 500 km / h in just 20.16 seconds. A lap around the Le Mans track Circuit de la Sarthe will run in 3: 07.1 and the Nordslingan will be completed in just 5: 23.1. So these are just make-up figures at the moment, but may become a reality in the future.

The car’s dry weight is 1,240 kilos according to Bugatti themselves, the car should be able to handle 0 to 100 km / h in 2.17 seconds, 0-200 in 4.36, 0-300 in 7.37, 0-400 in 12.08 and 0 -500 km / h in just 20.16 seconds.
