Journalist Mark Gurman shared details about the new iPhone line.
The release of the iPhone is less than six months away. It is expected that the new line of smartphones will be presented in the fall of 2022. Authoritative analyst Mark Gurman shared details about the upcoming updates from Apple.
The design will not be much different from previous smartphones. It will retain the flat edges of the iPhone 12 and iPhone 13. However, there are some changes made to the Pro version. Many unloved “bangs” will disappear. Instead, there will be two cutouts. Round for a selfie camera and oval for FaceID. Gurman claims that the dream of all iPhone fans to hide the camera and sensor under the screen will come true no earlier than 2025-2026.
Also, the company will abandon the mini model. It doesn’t sell well and Apple doesn’t see the point in wasting resources on it. But the displays of other models will become larger. There will be four:
- iPhone 14 with 6.1-inch (15 cm) screen;
- iPhone 14 Max – with 6.7-inch (17 cm);
- iPhone 14 Pro – 6.1 inches;
- iPhone 14 Pro Max – also 6.7 inches.
- The iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max models will get an improved 48MP wide-angle camera and an A16 processor. The younger ones are a 12MP camera and an A15 chip.
Apple continues to work on adding satellite communications to its devices. The journalist says that they wanted to implement it in the iPhone 13. This time it will definitely appear in the new line. However, its purpose is not related to calls. The satellite function is designed to send messages in case of emergency.
